At Primient, our story is deeply rooted in American agriculture—and this year, we’re honored to celebrate a milestone that reflects both where we’ve been and where we’re going.
The Illinois Manufacturers’ Association (IMA) recently recognized Primient as a Centennial Manufacturer. This designation honors companies that have operated for 100 years or more. For us, this recognition reflects the people, partnerships, and purpose that have sustained our work for more than a century and continue to guide us forward.
Our journey began in Decatur, IL in 1906 with the vision of A.E. (Gene) Staley, whose determination helped lay the foundation for what would become a lasting presence in the agricultural and manufacturing industry. From those early beginnings, the company evolved alongside the farmers, producers, and communities it served—adapting to change, advancing technology, and responding to the needs of a growing world.
Over the last 120 years, agriculture and manufacturing have transformed in ways few could have imagined. Through it all, our focus has remained steady: creating value from agricultural resources while supporting the people and systems that make that work possible. Today, as Primient, we are proud to be a leader in the bioeconomy solutions industry, dedicated to developing ingredients and solutions that support food, feed, and industrial applications around the globe.
The IMA’s Centennial Manufacturer recognition celebrates companies that have demonstrated resilience, adaptability, and impact across generations. For Primient, that recognition belongs to every employee who has contributed their expertise, care, and commitment to our operations. It also reflects the trust of our customers, the partnership of growers and suppliers, and the support of the communities where we live and work.
As the global demand for sustainable, plant‑based solutions continues to grow, Primient is building on its legacy to meet the challenges and opportunities ahead. Innovation today looks different than it did in 1906, but it is still driven by the same spirit of curiosity, problem‑solving, and commitment to progress that shaped our earliest days.
Being recognized as a Centennial Manufacturer is a meaningful moment. We’re proud of our roots, grateful for the people who have shaped our path, and energized by the role we can play in the future of agriculture and manufacturing.
